The window is a clever design that allows for it to open to the sides or pivot on the lower edge, opening a little at the top. I was able to remove the windows for painting. My only issue was that the window is designed for the thicker wall boards. I made a 1/4” shim to fill in the gap. This was easy for me to do.
I love how large the windows are, and how they open in two different ways. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the windows. The hinges are slightly uneven, which means I have to push the window if I want to close it, and there were a few places that had left over glue/caulk where the glass meets the wood. But, they were simple to add to the shed and add great air flow and light. UPDATE: SolidBuildWood reached out and has me send a video of my issue. They sent me tips on how to fix it and I haven’t had any issues. They also gave me a small refund for my trouble. Great customer service!! Really personalized.
