Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to plan, choose and buy a SolidBuild shed on this website — including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text and stronger contrast.

Our commitment

SolidBuild Inc. is committed to making solidbuildwood.com accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a finished project.

What we have done

  • Pages use semantic structure — one main heading, ordered sub-headings, landmarks and labelled navigation — so screen readers can move through them.
  • Everything in the header, the product pages and the checkout can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and the element you are on is visibly highlighted.
  • Product photographs, dimension drawings and the images in our guides carry text alternatives, and the product pages give every measurement as text, not only as a drawing.
  • Text colours are measured for contrast against their backgrounds, and text can be resized to 200% without loss of content.
  • Motion is limited, and the moving pieces we do use — the home-page video and the carousels — respect your operating system's reduced-motion setting.

What we know still needs work

  • Some of the content on this site comes from third parties we do not control: customer-review widgets (Trustpilot), financing messages (Klarna and PayPal), the live-chat window (HubSpot), photo galleries (Elfsight) and embedded videos (YouTube). We choose the most accessible versions these providers offer, but we cannot guarantee their conformance.
  • Some older how-to guides were written before this statement and may contain images without text alternatives or tables that are hard to follow with a screen reader. We are reviewing them.
  • Not all of our customer videos have captions yet.
