Turned our Shibas into perfect backyard offices

We ordered two Shiba sheds to use as backyard offices and we could not be more pleased - we are absolutely thrilled! (You can see ours in the pictures - craftsman green with burgundy and yellow trim) We have a three-bedroom house, but we both work from home, and we wanted to be able to use all of our living space for living and have separate spaces for working. We researched EVERYWHERE and everything we found other than SolidBuild was either cheap and awful, or super expensive small houses that were far more than what we needed. Enter the Shiba. When it arrived, we were so pleased with how solid the shed is. We put them on concrete pads, added mini-splits and floors, put shingles on the roof for extra protection, and painted them to blend in and fit our decor. The sheds are comfortable, super bright inside with the window, warm up and cool down quickly, and really are our own little retreats. My husband has his desk and his peloton with plenty of room for shelves and other furniture, and I built the bookshelf wall I've always wanted with a mini-fridge and other amenities. The Shiba is more than big enough for a small home office and can be made completely comfortable for year-round use. We could not be happier and if we could give SolidBuild ten stars, we would!

The inside of your shed is finished with smooth milled wood and smells like a fresh conifer forest. Due to the unique construction type, there is no exposed framing that needs drywall or other finish. You can move in immediately! Stain your shed interior for a splash of color or white-wash for a modern designer look. Turn it into a garden shed, home office, workshop, playhouse, art studio, or anything you can imagine.
Shed care and personalization

Your shed is made of natural wood! Easily personalize it and set up to fit your needs and style. Paint or stain the outside to protect the wood. Paint and polyurethane are wonderful options in harsher climates (think torrential rains, etc.), and exterior wood stain works well in gentler climates.

It's made of solid wood, thus you can modify it as needed to run conduits for electrical and insulate the roof and/or floor to make it energy efficient. It's incredibly versatile!
Easy to assemble DIY shed kit

All our models are designed as do-it-yourself shed kits with easy-to-follow manuals and step-by-step video instructions - it s not just easy but also a fun DIY project.
To begin, your shed needs a level and firm base for a foundation to stay upright for the years to come. Then, only basic tools are needed, and it takes a weekend to assemble a gorgeous natural wood shed kit. If you have any technical questions, folks at customer support are a phenomenal help!
Long lasting wood garden sheds

We use only FSC-certified Norway Spruce lumber, which is well-known for its durability and strength compared to Southern Pine. Buildings around Eastern Europe and Scandinavia made from this wood still stand 200 years later.
These tough little sheds withstand winds up to 75 mph and hold a foot of snow without any reinforcements. Since they are made of real wood, you can make needed modifications in harsher environments. Fun fact - our sheds are "self-adjusting" in some sense, and do well in small earthquakes!

Nontocxic eco-friendly sheds

Our shed kits are made of 100% natural, FSC-certified wood and are not treated with toxic preservatives. Raw wood ensures a safe and eco-friendly environment for people and other living beings. Most shed makers use engineered wood materials that contain huge concentrations of formaldehyde and are toxic to you and the environment. These materials are not meant for our living spaces.
It takes approximately one mature tree to make a 10'x10' shed. To offset the impact, we give 25 times more to nature by planting 25 trees in your name for each purchase made.
