The dispatcher calls to agree a window. The pallet is too big for a liftgate, so it comes off by hand — plan on two people for about an hour. Driver-assisted unloading and expedited delivery can be added for a fee; ask us for a quote when you order.

Check the pallet against the packing list in the first 30 days — anything damaged or missing ships free. Boards interlock tongue-and-groove; no framing skills needed. Manual, blueprint and video library included.

Outstanding communications

“I love my new cabin! Lots of fun to build, though since I did it solo in my spare time, and I’m no spring chicken, it is physically demanding. I over-built the form and pour foundation by design and added a more complicated metal roof as well as a custom brass porthole window and a mini-split A/C heat pump unit and electric, of course. But the cabin itself is quite manageable. I built a similar cabin the previous year and thought the quality of the lumber (it’s grading) wasn’t quite as nice with the Bristol but it’s still very good. Milling quality is excellent with components fitting tightly and securely. The glass work is far better on the Bristol than on my other cabin. The glass front wall can be a little unstable during construction, so I highly recommend braces to keep the corners plumb. Instructions provided as well as videos are excellent. Took me three weekends to construct cabin, including the added metal roof, plus another two weekends for the foundation and two more for electric, A/C, and staining. Superb new space for music, home theater, and home office! Outstanding communications during a really challenging time for shipping products like this. Tomas kept me in the loop throughout, allowing me to coordinate help for unloading and better pace site preparations. SolidBuild creates their own installation guides and other materials which are far superior to the originals produced in Estonia (I built a different model cabin from a different and also excellent US distributor the previous year). The entire transaction was beyond expectations. Thank you!”

At 117 sq ft this model sits under the 120 sq ft threshold most US counties use, so a permit usually isn't required. Rules vary by county and HOA, so one call to your local building department settles it. Every kit includes a blueprint you can hand them if plans are asked for.
A level, well-drained base sized 12′1″ × 10′1¼″, flat within ¼″. A compacted gravel pad, deck blocks or a timber frame all work; a concrete slab is the premium route but is not required. Most owners do it in an afternoon for $250–$700. The foundation calculator gives you the shopping list and cut list.

Yes — most office and studio builds do. Conduit surface-mounts neatly along the solid wood walls with clips, so no in-wall channels are needed and the wiring stays inspectable. Plan the trench or overhead run before the build. A shed under 120 sq ft rarely needs a building permit, but the electrical work usually does — ask your city whether it wants a permit and an inspection.

Yes, within the factory-verified layouts. Wall panels can be assembled flipped and the left and right walls mirrored, so the included windows and door can sit at either end of their wall — you choose during assembly, at no cost. The layouts marked with a window add the paid double window (one or two, as marked); you cut those openings yourself with our instructions. The included windows never move to the back wall, and the factory does not open the pallet or swap boards — every layout uses the same kit.
