    You'll need a level base. Gravel, slab or deck blocks — sized 7′5¾″ × 7′5¾″. Not included.

    Roof boards are included; the top layer isn't. The 4:12 pitch takes shingles, metal or PVC — match the house.*

The dispatcher calls to agree a window. The pallet is too big for a liftgate, so it comes off by hand — plan on two people for about an hour. Driver-assisted unloading and expedited delivery can be added for a fee; ask us for a quote when you order.

Check the pallet against the packing list in the first 30 days — anything damaged or missing ships free. Boards interlock tongue-and-groove; no framing skills needed. Manual, blueprint and video library included.

Turned our Shibas into perfect backyard offices

“We ordered two Shiba sheds to use as backyard offices and we could not be more pleased - we are absolutely thrilled! (You can see ours in the pictures - craftsman green with burgundy and yellow trim) We have a three-bedroom house, but we both work from home, and we wanted to be able to use all of our living space for living and have separate spaces for working. We researched EVERYWHERE and everything we found other than SolidBuild was either cheap and awful, or super expensive small houses that were far more than what we needed. Enter the Shiba. When it arrived, we were so pleased with how solid the shed is. We put them on concrete pads, added mini-splits and floors, put shingles on the roof for extra protection, and painted them to blend in and fit our decor. The sheds are comfortable, super bright inside with the window, warm up and cool down quickly, and really are our own little retreats. My husband has his desk and his peloton with plenty of room for shelves and other furniture, and I built the bookshelf wall I've always wanted with a mini-fridge and other amenities. The Shiba is more than big enough for a small home office and can be made completely comfortable for year-round use. We could not be happier and if we could give SolidBuild ten stars, we would! ”

“The website was great and really answered all of my questions. I ordered a small 8' x8' shed and it was available to ship immediately. Within 4 days of ordering, it was delivered to my house. It took 3 adults half a day to put it together. The hardest part was deciding where I wanted to put my windows. Overall, the quality of the wood is really great - nicely finished and well made. At 54 sq ft this model sits under the 120 sq ft threshold most US counties use, so a permit usually isn't required. Rules vary by county and HOA, so one call to your local building department settles it. Every kit includes a blueprint you can hand them if plans are asked for.
A level, well-drained base sized 7′5¾″ × 7′5¾″, flat within ¼″. A compacted gravel pad, deck blocks or a timber frame all work; a concrete slab is the premium route but is not required. Most owners do it in an afternoon for $250–$700. The foundation calculator gives you the shopping list and cut list.

Yes. Insulate the roof above the T&G boards under your roofing layer, and the floor between the runners of the floor you add. The walls are solid 1⅛″ (28 mm) single T&G spruce with good thermal mass; pair with a mini-split for full climate control.
Yes — most office and studio builds do. Conduit surface-mounts neatly along the solid wood walls with clips, so no in-wall channels are needed and the wiring stays inspectable. Plan the trench or overhead run before the build. A shed under 120 sq ft rarely needs a building permit, but the electrical work usually does — ask your city whether it wants a permit and an inspection.

This model ships without windows — the glazed double door in the front wall is its light. The layouts marked with a window add the paid double window (one or two, as marked); you cut those openings yourself with our instructions. The factory does not open the pallet or swap boards — every layout uses the same kit.
