Three things to know before you buy

  • 1
    Sized for the front of a shed up to 13′ wide. Trim it to your model by leaving out deck boards and shortening the joists — the description calls it “super easy”.
  • 2
    It needs its own level base. Plan a pad 4′ 1½″ deep by your shed’s width in front of the door wall. Not included.
  • 3
    Bare spruce deck on pressure-treated runners. The runners are treated; the boards and rails are untreated spruce — stain or paint them with the shed.

Great addition to our porch

“We bought it to use as a porch at our regular house and we love it! Looks great, very well made and most importantly safe for children (not treated with chemicals and eco-friendly)! The store’s width spec says 8′–13′ wide units — every model except Dakota and Washington — while the description says 10′ to 13′. On a narrower shed you leave out deck boards and shorten the floor joists to match the facade; for an 8′ Shiba, call first.
Yes. Plan a level base 4′ 1½″ deep by your shed’s width in front of the door wall — the same kind of pad the shed sits on. Not included. The foundation calculator helps with the shed’s base.
